Belgium Woman Banned From Zoo For Having An ‘Affair’ With Chimpanzee

A Belgian woman was recently barred from a zoo after confessing to having an “affair” with a chimpanzee in a bizarre incident.

What appears to have happened is that the woman took the term “animal lover” far too seriously and claimed to be a true animal lover.

Following this, the woman claimed she was having an “affair” with the 38-year-old chimp and thus paid him weekly visits.

According to reports, Adie Timmermans began visiting the zoo once a week and interacted with Chita from opposite sides of the glass enclosure, waving and kissing each other.

Adie Timmermans had been visiting the zoo for four years when the zoo authorities decided that action against the growing friendship was necessary.

“I adore that creature, and he adores me. I don’t have anything else.

Timmermans questioned why they want to take it away. “I’ll just say we’re having an affair.”

The woman was, however, barred from visiting Chita by zoo officials, who believed that Chita’s closeness to Adie was harming his relationship and bonding with the other chimps at the zoo, as well as affecting his growth with them.

“When Chita is constantly busy with visitors, the other monkeys ignore him and don’t see him as a valuable member of the group. Outside of visiting hours, he sits on his own,” the zoo said.

Timmermans reacted angrily to the zoo’s ban, saying she believes it is unjust and that “other dozens of visitors are allowed to make contact.” “Then why not me?” says the narrator.
